Photo mode, ray tracing and content based on the series from Netflix – CD Projekt RED showed The Witcher 3 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series

CD Projekt RED conducted livewhich showed “live” footage of the re-release The Witcher 3 for PC and current generation consoles. The developers have demonstrated graphical innovations, as well as some functional improvements.

What’s new:

  • The PC version will get ray tracing, RTGI, DLSS, AMD FSR, SSR reflections, and “Ultra+” graphics settings.

  • Photo mode

  • A separate camera mode will appear, in which she is closer to Geralt (similar to God of War)

  • PS5 and Xbox Series X to get performance (60 FPS) and ray-traced quality (30 FPS) modes

  • Xbox Series S only runs at 60 FPS

  • Consoles will integrate FSR 2.1

  • Completely reworked textures, vegetation, fog, object detail and more

  • Version The Witcher 3 will acquire support for DualSense controller chips

  • There will be an option to simplify the use of signs without the need to climb into the circular menu

  • Updated map with additional filters – there will be an option that disables unnecessary icons and activities

  • Geralt will now walk on foot if the stick on the gamepad is slightly deflected

  • Subtitle zoom will appear

  • Cutscenes can now be paused

  • The Witcher 3 will receive a full translation into simplified Chinese – subtitles and voice acting; will also fix existing localizations

  • Optional dynamic HUD that will disappear during travel and battles

  • Content inspired by the Netflix series “The Witcher” – swords, armor, quest, and so on

  • Crossprogression – transferring saves between platforms

updated version The Witcher 3 will reach PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners on December 14th. The upgrade is free for all owners of the original game. A full list of changes will appear prior to launch.
