The Swede Pia Sundhage (63 years old) will be the new coach of the Swiss women’s team. Several sources confirmed to Keystone-ATS Sport the information published by “blue”.

The ASF has called a press conference for Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Muri, near Bern. The appointment of the Swedish technician should in all likelihood be made official there.

Pia Sundhage led the United States to two Olympic titles in 2008 and 2012. She then led Sweden and Brazil.

The Swiss women’s team has been without a coach since the dismissal of Inka Grings in November. The interim was provided by Reto Gertschen.
