Big cheers for a big one: The pianist Martha Argerich is an appearance, and that is also true according to purely artistic criteria. On the one hand, she has this down-to-earth power with which she played the first chords of Schumann’s at the Philharmonic Concert in the Musikverein on Saturday piano concert chiseled out: as if with impetuous youthful determination – and yet completely balanced.
