To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the North’s armed forces, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, accompanied by his daughter and wife, on Tuesday visited the residence of the leaders of the Korean People’s Army, according to state media.
Today, Wednesday, the official Korean Central News Agency published several photos from the event of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un with his daughter and wife, Ri Sol Ju.
Speaking at a banquet on Tuesday following his visit, Kim hailed the Korean People’s Army as “the most powerful force in the world,” according to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency.
He did not deliver any message targeting South Korea or the United States.
The visit comes amid the possibility that North Korea will stage a nightly military parade on Wednesday to mark the anniversary.
It is worth noting that the daughter of the North Korean leader revealed his second daughter, “Ju-A”, to the outside world in November 2022, as North Korean media published pictures showing them attending the test launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile, “Hwasong-17”.
