Italian journalist and friend of the Algerian Revolution, Piero Angela, died on Saturday at the age of 93, local media reported.

The son of the Italian journalist, Alberto Angela, affirmed in a tweet the death of his father who was decorated last November by the Head of State Abdelmadjid Tebboune with the “Medal of the Friends of the Algerian Revolution”.

Piero Angela, born December 22, 1928 in Turin and died on the night of August 12 to 13, 2022, was an Italian journalist, science popularizer and pianist.
