The patron saint of Cáceres returns to the Mountain today, and she does so dressed in blue, with a cloak that she is wearing for the first time this year and accompanied by hundreds of people from Cáceres. The image processions through the streets of the city and does so escorted by different folklore and dance groups.
There are regarding four hours of travel that end when the Virgin enters her sanctuary where she will remain for another year. Along the way, moments of great emotion have been experienced, and in some of them, her neighbors have decorated the balconies for the occasion, altars with flowers and a large petalada. A religious day but also a holiday since the people of Cáceres celebrate their pilgrimage starting at noon.
