Lubjana Piovesana narrowly missed out on the bronze medal in the 63 kg class at the Judo World Championships in Doha. Only in the Golden Score did she have to admit defeat to Hungarian Szofi Ozbas on Wednesday following an exciting fight and finished fifth. In the semifinals she lost to Olympic and world champion Clarisse Agbegnenou from France. In the 81 kg category, Wachid Borchasvhili and his brother, Olympic bronze medalist Shamil Borchashvili, came away empty-handed.
