Donald Tusk didn’t want to waste any more time: it was only on Monday followingnoon that the Sejm, the Chamber of Deputies of the Polish Parliament, appointed him as the new Prime Minister. And on Tuesday morning he presented his cabinet and his government program there and then immediately asked the MPs a vote of confidence. Tusk ultimately won the vote, with 248 yes votes and only 201 no votes. But the path was further than expected.
