Police Intervention at De Bouckère Metro Station: Individual with Psychiatric Disorders Banged Head Against Wall

The police intervened this Thursday around 6 p.m. following an individual who banged his head once morest the wall at the exit of the De Bouckère metro station. The individual would suffer from psychiatric disorders but additional examinations must determine it.

“For some unknown reason, an individual banged his head once morest the wall. Many passers-by were very surprised and called the paramedics”, explains Ilse Van De Keere, spokesperson for the Brussels Capital Ixelles police zone, which specifies that there is no third-party intervention.

Once there, the paramedics were unable to control the individual in question. “He was recalcitrant and presented a danger to himself. The police then arrived as reinforcements to take him to the hospital for medical examinations,” she concludes.
