The local police of Grimbergen announces that they have saved a woman who fell, for a reason yet to be specified, in the Willebroek canal on Thursday morning.
It was a boatman who noticed the body of a woman in the water on Thursday morning, near a business in Westvaartdijk, and immediately alerted the police. A patrol rushed to the scene and saw a nearly unconscious woman in the water. Officers jumped into the water and managed to bring the woman back to dry land, following which she was taken to hospital.
“It is a 59-year-old woman living in Vilvoorde,” Grimbergen police said. “His life was not in danger. The exact circumstances of this incident are yet to be investigated.”
