Innsbruck/Brenner/Vienna – After the Tyrolean Brenner motorway (A13) was closed for around ten hours on Friday due to the snowfall, mainly due to stuck trucks, a political debate regarding responsibility broke out on Sunday. Tyrol’s ÖVP regional councilor Astrid Mair (ÖVP), like the FPÖ, took Asfinag to task. State Transport Councilor René Zumtobel (SPÖ) announced that he wanted to debrief the measures. According to Asfinag, all resources were deployed “in a timely manner”.
