A year following the announcement of the death of Idriss Déby, Chad is still in political uncertainty. Since then, power has been taken over by his son Mahamat Idriss Deby, at the head of a transitional military council. The anniversary of the marshal’s disappearance is hardly celebrated in the country.
A mini-summit of the East African community was held this Thursday, April 21 in Nairobi, Kenya. The presidents of Uganda, Kenya, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo met to discuss peace and security in eastern Congo.
