Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan announced from prison that he had won the general elections, according to a breaking news on Cairo News Channel.

Nawaz Sharif, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, announced his victory in the general elections held last Thursday, in which Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister, was absent.

Pakistani voters, numbering 127 million, went last Thursday to vote in the parliamentary elections, amid political turmoil in the country.

On the eve of the elections, bombs struck two political offices in southwestern Pakistan, killing at least 30 people.
