He did it again, together with the young Dua Lipa: Elton John conquered the charts in his home country with “Cold Heart”.

British pop legend Elton John landed a number one hit in the British charts for the first time in 16 years.

The song “Cold Heart (Pnau Remix)”, which Elton John (74) produced in cooperation with the artist Dua Lipa (26), replaced Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers” from number one on Friday. Sheeran had called on his fans to help out.

Most recently Elton John stormed to the top of the British charts in 2005 through his participation in the posthumous single “Ghetto Gospel” by the deceased rapper 2Pac. He achieved his first number one hit in Great Britain with the duet “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” with the singer Kiki Dee in 1974. In total, he topped the British singles charts eight times, with songs such as ” Candle In The Wind ”,“ Sacrifice ”and“ Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me ”. For Dua Lipa it is the third number one hit in the UK.
