Zurich (awp) – The outlook for the job market in Switzerland is positive for the last quarter of the year, according to a recent study by personnel placement specialist Manpower, which expects strong activity in terms of recruitment at the end of 2023.

According to a survey carried out in July, 38% of the companies surveyed want to hire in the last quarter, compared to 30% globally, the group reported on Tuesday.

By sector, “Communication Services” (66%), “Transportation, Logistics and Automotive” (62%) and “Energy and Utilities” (53%) are the most promising. The labor shortage and the low unemployment rate justify this explosion of future hiring, explains the publication.

By company size, micro-enterprises are those that plan to hire the most with a share of 57%, followed by small ones at 41%, large ones then medium ones.

by region, Ticino has the highest net employment forecast at 57%. The Lake Geneva region follows suit with 46%. The only region to decline is northwest Switzerland.
