The Central Meteorological Administration stated that an earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale occurred in Fuli Township, Hualien County at 18:36 today, with the maximum intensity of 5.0. Township, the earthquake depth was 17 kilometers. It is expected to reach the Disaster Prevention Warning System (PWS) sending threshold, and the warning range is Taitung County and Hualien County.

Each earthquake intensity level: Hualien County has a maximum earthquake intensity of 5, Taitung County and Nantou County have a maximum earthquake intensity of 4, Chiayi County, Yunlin County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, Changhua County, and Miaoli County have a maximum earthquake intensity of 3 magnitude, with the maximum magnitude being 2 in Chiayi City, Taichung City, Yilan County, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, New Taipei City, and Taipei City, and 1 in Hsinchu City and Penghu County.
