NHL Draft 2025: Everything You Need to Know
The race is on across the NHL as evidenced by the jam-packed NHL Draft. Scheduled for June 27 and 28 in Los Angeles, the draft features seven rounds with 224 players poised to turn professional. Leading the pack, the New York Islanders, winners of the draft lottery, are preparing to pick Canadian defender Matthew Schaefer as the first overall. Following closely, the San Jose Sharks might opt for Michael Misa, the top center on Bet365’s list.
However, the draft promises twists and turns. The Anaheim Ducks are already making waves, securing Chris Kreider from the New York Rangers in exchange for draft picks. Trevor Zegras heads to Philadelphia in the same deal, emphasizing the dynamic nature of these draft-day transactions.
NBA 2024-25 Draft: Record-Setting Picks
The NBA draft is rolling with the first picks already made. Cooper Flagg, predicted to be a top talent from Duke, was taken as the first overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks. Mavericks are certainly keeping busy after trading Luka Doncic to the Lakers, setting a tone for an action-packed season.
The draft’s first round has set the stage with Dylan Harper heading to the Spurs, VJ Edgecombe to the 76ers, and Kon Knueppel to the Hornets. The surprises, though, came from pre-draft trades. Phoenix offloaded Kevin Durant to the Rockets, who in turn receive Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and future draft picks, making Houston now a top contender with odds hovering around 9.00 on Bet365.
MLB Draft 2025: Tigers Dominate the Scene
In MLB, the Detroit Tigers have been glowing bright. They’ve surpassed the Los Angeles Dodgers to lead in the American League, leaving even the New York Yankees in the dust. With Tigers now listed at 8.50 odds to win the World Series, and New York only slightly ahead, the MLB season is heating up.
A standout match featured Paul Skenes of the Pirates versus Jacob Misiorowski. Misiorowski’s stellar performance has propelled him into the Rookie of the Year conversation, adding excitement to the upcoming season. Cubs, Mets, and Phillies are hot on the Dodgers’ heels, but Colorado’s Rockies are in dire straits, chasing the dubious record of most losses in a season.
