Follow-up – Susan Hassan

The liver is supposed to detox itself. But with the toxins and chemicals that surround us such as the polluted air, the food we eat, and the products we use, our organs find it difficult to do the job.

Detoxification helps keep the body in a healthy state, and you can help the body get rid of toxins by consuming detox drinks. Today we are going to have a smoothie known as Miracle Drink which is a healthy blend of apple, beetroot and carrot.

Health benefits of the ingredients used in the detox drink recipe:

1_ Apple:

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Apples are a fruit rich in natural elements needed for a healthy body, and they are also a great choice for weight loss.

Apples increase the feeling of fullness, they suppress the appetite, because they are full of fiber and water content.
Apples are also good for the heart and soluble fiber is the main reason why apples are good for the heart.

2- Beetroot:

Beets are a low-calorie vegetable rich in vitamins and minerals. It also helps promote heart health because it is rich in folic acid and because of manganese it aids in bone formation, boosts metabolism, brain function and promotes healthy skin.

Beets contain a high amount of nitrates and this can help lower blood pressure levels.

It also helps reduce kidney infections due to its anti-inflammatory effects.

3- Carrots:

Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which is a key source and helps your body convert to vitamin A.

Carrots are rich in potassium and antioxidants, which mainly help in maintaining blood pressure.

Vitamin C in carrots helps build antibodies that help boost the functioning of the immune system.
