President-elect Joe Biden was injured on Saturday and will need to be examined by an orthopedic surgeon, we learned on Sunday.
The Democrat’s team issued a statement to US media explaining the situation.
Biden, 78, slipped while playing with his dog Major and twisted his ankle.
As a precaution, he was due to see an orthopedist this afternoon to make sure nothing is broken.
The president-elect has two dogs and a cat that he plans to bring to the White House for his term that begins on January 20, 2021.
