2023-07-29 00:36:30

For the first time, President Joe Biden publicly acknowledged his seventh grandson this Friday, adding that his Navy granddaughter “is not a political issue.”

In a statement first reported by People obtained by NBC News, Biden said he and first lady Jill Biden wanted the best for all of their grandchildren, “including Navy.”

“Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interest of their daughter while preserving her privacy as much as possible moving forward,” the president said. “This is not a political problem, it is a family matter. Jill and I only want the best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”

Hunter Biden and Lunden Roberts settled a paternity case last month over their daughter Navy in an Arkansas court.
