PRESIDENT Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invited the General Chairman (Ketum) of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh to review the construction of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago, East Kalimantan. One of them was reviewing the Ceremony Plaza located in front of the State Palace.
President Jokowi and Surya were in a white buggy car. Both of them sat side by side in the back seat and were driven by President Jokowi’s aide,
Police Commissioner Syarif Muhammad Fitriansyah.
President Jokowi wore a white long-sleeved shirt. While Surya wore a black shirt.
They were seen leaving the IKN State Palace at 14:28 WITA. After that, they headed to the Ceremony Plaza.
The arrival of President Jokowi and Surya was welcomed by a number of people. They seemed to capture the rare moment.
Several members of the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) in blue uniforms were seen guarding tightly. Until 14:46 WIB, they were still at the Ceremony Plaza. The reason was, the weather outside looked rainy.
Previously, Surya Paloh attended the Commemoration Ceremony of the Seconds of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence at the IKN. Surya wore traditional Acehnese clothing and Palembang songket.
