The President of Russia signed a decree on amending the concept of the migration policy of the Russian Federation for 2019-2025.

The document appeared on the legal information portal on May 12. In it, the head of state demands the creation of conditions – financial, social and other – in order to reduce the outflow of citizens abroad.

The decree also orders to provide assistance to IDPs from new territories who are fleeing because of the threat from Ukrainian troops.

Vladimir Putin also demanded to simplify the execution of migration documents for foreigners who came to work, who know the Russian language, and who are qualified specialists. Student visas are being introduced, and the experiment with electronic one-time visas for short visits to the Russian Federation is also recognized as successful.
