Chennai: The Ahmedabad Defenders got off to a great start in the third season of the Prime Volleyball League. In the first game, defending champions Ahmedabad defeated Chennai Blitz in straight sets (15–10, 15–11, 15–12). Ahmedabad’s A Muthusamy is the man of the match.
Although they faltered a bit at the beginning of the first set, Ahmedabad took the field with a brilliant performance by captain Muthusamy. S Nandagopal, Max Senika and R Angamuthu played a good game for Ahmedabad.
Calicut Heroes and Kochi Blue Spikers will meet tomorrow night at 8:30. Mumbai Meteors will face Delhi Thunder in the first match at 6.30 pm.
