At this point, it’s unclear if Ubisoft’s remake of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time will ever release. But if you’re looking for a new addition to the franchise, Ubisoft announced Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown at Summer Games Fest 2023 as a new action-adventure title. “Inspired by the structure of Metroidvania style” That’s the definition of a genre game. Action-Platformer which combines the strengths of two popular games like Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony of The Night together

Changing the genre of the game to Action-Platformer The franchise’s transition to the exploration- and action-focused gameplay offered in Metroid and Castlevania sounds like generic stuff, but that’s not the only change in the format Lost Crown brings. Instead of taking on the role of a noble prince, the Lost Crown has players assist the prince as Sargon, a new hero and part of a group known as the “The Immortals”
Ubisoft promises that the game will offer a “play-by-play” style. Intense Action-Platformer battles, giant bosses, puzzles, and new character abilities and powers throughout the journey.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will release on January 18, 2024 for all platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, as well as on PC through the Epic Games Store and on Amazon. Luna, Prince of Persia fans can look forward to it.
