“Prize money not from ORF fees”: Ö3 defends “20,000 euro call” after Kronehit criticism – Radio

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

Vienna – The private radio station Kronehit criticized Ö3 for the “20,000 euro call” campaign. Kronehit accuses the public broadcaster of copying. Kronehit has been organizing the 10,000 euro call twice a year for 15 years. With the words “I listen to kronehit, most of the music” listeners can win 10,000 euros. Ö3 is now launching a similar campaign. It is called the “20,000 euro call from Ö3”. After registering, listeners must respond to a call from Ö3 with the words “I’m listening to Hitradio Ö3” in order to have a chance of winning.
