Alba/Arlon – Italian chocolate maker Ferrero has halted production at its plant in Arlon, Belgium, due to salmonella. “All production has been stopped,” said a spokeswoman for the confectionery manufacturer on Thursday. The bacterium was discovered there at the end of June. Parts of the Kinder chocolate products from the same factory were affected by salmonella contamination last year.
