The minister delegate in charge of Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) said on Tuesday in Rabat that her department had drawn up a draft national program to identify Moroccan skills residing abroad, with a view to mobilizing 10,000 executives in ‘horizon 2030. Some 17% of MRE have received high-level training and hold higher degrees, she said, responding to a central question on “The mobilization of specialized skills among Moroccans around the world” at the House of Councilors. The priority of the ministry is to ensure a change in terms of mobilization of skills and institutionalization of this initiative by strengthening the contribution of the Moroccan community, as skills, to the various national projects initiated under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, she added. “This is the first time that this program has been mentioned with the prospect of implementing a series of measures to mobilize more than 10,000 Moroccan skills by 2030,” said the Minister Delegate, noting that he also A new program called “MRE Academy” was launched in partnership with the Office for Vocational Training and Work Promotion (OFPPT). A framework partnership agreement was signed in this direction on June 24, 2020 and the first phase of this program was launched between five networks in four continents bringing together 4,500 priority national skills in the fields of training. The aim is to bring employment closer to young people, to develop new methods relating to training, the training of trainers, training engineering and distance education, in addition to the launch of ‘a new project relating to the “Finkoum” program.
