Kozhikode ∙ A police grenade hurled at the Kozhikode Collectorate protesting once morest the arrest of Youth Congress state president Rahul Mangkoothil, seriously injured 2 people. Shameel Arakiner injured his leg and Mansoor Ramanatukara injured his shoulder. The activists threw the unexploded grenade at the police.

Youth Congress national general secretary Vidya Balakrishnan and district president R. Shaheen arrested 9 people. The marches to the Malappuram Collectorate and Adoor DySP office were also clashed. The Youth Congress has announced that it will file a complaint with the Human Rights Commission once morest the police beating of District President MP Praveen, Megha Ranjith and others in the March in Alappuzha.
