Young men from Kafr Kila intercepted a French UNIFIL patrol.
A group of young men from the town of Kafr Kila blocked the path of a UNIFIL patrol from the French battalion while they were passing through the town and forced it to retreat following hitting their vehicle with an iron stick. The issue was resolved following communicating with those concerned, but no injuries were reported in the incident.
It is reported that this is the second time that UNIFIL patrols in the south have been attacked, following last night’s incident with the Indonesian battalion in the town of Taiba.
