PS Plus March 2026: PGA Tour 2K25 Leaked – Is It a Hole-in-One?

by Sophie Lin - Technology Editor

A sense of muted anticipation hangs over PlayStation Plus subscribers as March approaches. Just days before Sony’s official announcement on February 25, 2026, a reliable leak has revealed one of the free PlayStation Plus games for March 2026 – and it’s not generating much excitement. According to information published on February 23, 2026, prominent leaker Billbil-kun claims that PGA Tour 2K25 will be available to subscribers starting March 3 and continuing through April 7.

The leaked title is set to be available across all PlayStation Plus tiers – Essential, Extra, and Premium – alongside at least two other currently unknown games. While PGA Tour 2K25 is a solid golf simulation, the choice has drawn criticism from some corners of the PlayStation community, who were hoping for a more broadly appealing title.

PGA Tour 2K25, released in February 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and recently ported to the Nintendo Switch 2, received an 8/10 review from IGN, praised for its realistic gameplay and detailed swings. IGN’s review noted the game “comes back strong, with substantial changes to how it looks and plays bringing it within striking distance of the competition.” However, the game has also been criticized for its microtransactions, repetitive progression, and occasional technical issues.

The selection of PGA Tour 2K25 as a headlining title highlights a perceived trend of underwhelming offerings for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers. February 2026’s featured game, Undisputed, a boxing simulator, was similarly niche and failed to resonate with a large portion of the subscriber base. This contrasts sharply with the PlayStation Plus Extra tier, which in February offered titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, and Neva – a significantly more diverse and high-profile selection. Insider Gaming reports that Extra currently provides around ten games per month, compared to Essential’s three, reinforcing the feeling that the higher tiers offer greater value.

Current PS Plus Games Available Until March 3

  • Undisputed: A boxing simulation.
  • Subnautica: Below Zero: An underwater adventure, a continuation of the original Subnautica.
  • Ultros: A psychedelic Metroidvania-style experience.
  • Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown: A well-regarded aerial combat game.

Beyond PGA Tour 2K25: Other Confirmed Titles

PGA Tour 2K25 isn’t the only title confirmed for March and beyond. Sony previously announced during a State of Play presentation that Big Walk will be added to the Essential tier later this year. Push Square also reports that PlayStation Plus Premium will feature Tekken: Dark Resurrection, a PSP version of the classic fighting game, in March. This announcement has also received a mixed reaction, with some Premium subscribers hoping for more recent titles. Time Crisis is already slated for release in May.

The official full reveal of the PlayStation Plus lineup for March 2026 is scheduled for February 25. Subscribers will soon learn whether this leak proves accurate and if additional titles will bolster the selection. The coming announcement will likely determine whether Sony can address concerns about the value proposition of the lower-tier PlayStation Plus subscriptions.

The value of PlayStation Plus continues to be a topic of discussion among gamers, and the upcoming announcement will be closely watched. Will Sony address the concerns about the value of the Essential tier, or will subscribers continue to feel that the higher tiers offer a more compelling experience?
