Paris Saint-Germain is losing one of the great hopes of its training center, with the departure of Abdoulaye Kamara in Germany. This Tuesday morning, Borussia Dortmund formalized the signing of the young 16-year-old defensive midfielder, also capable of playing in central defense. He signed up under a first “long-term” professional contract.
Punctually integrated into the pro group by Mauricio Pochettino last season, Abdoulaye Kamara, whose amateur contract ended in 2022, was not invited to the resumption of PSG training at the beginning of the month, being announced “pending departure ”after having refused the professional contract proposal of his training club.
Discussions had dragged on with PSG for many months. They were close to being successful for a while, but it was ultimately the BVB that had the favor of this promising player. In Dortmund, Abdoulaye Kamara will meet Soumaïla Coulibaly, with whom he was trained in the capital, as well as Dan-Axel Zagadou, also trained at PSG.
“Abdoulaye is a very talented and still very young player who recently trained regularly with the pros in Paris. We hope that it will develop with us in adults to take the next step, ”responded Dortmund football manager Sebastian Kehl.
