‘PSV receives training allowance thanks to transfer of former defender (26)’

Menno Koch is heading for a nice transfer. The Dutch defender of KAS Eupen, which by PSV was trained, is about to sign a contract with CSKA Sofia.

Koch plays with Eupen at the highest Belgian level, but gets according to it Eindhovens Dagblad now the chance to sign with Bulgaria’s number two. CSKA Sofia, which is competing with Ludogorets for the national title and a place in the preliminary round of the Champions League, has a contract until June 2024 for the 26-year-old defender.

It is not clear what the Bulgarian top club will pay for Koch, but it is certain that PSV will have a small amount of training allowance left over from the transfer if it all comes around. The stopper from Heeze will travel to Sofia on Thursday to undergo a medical examination.

For eleven years, Koch walked around in the PSV youth academy and that is also the reason that the Eindhoven team is left with a training fee for his transfer. He played two league games for PSV and was loaned out for FC Utrecht and NAC, after which he moved to Eupen in 2019. He is not undisputed there, but the Bulgarians still strike.
