The facts happened on three different days during the Easter holidays, but only now became known. The girl was allegedly lured by her boyfriend to the so-called Kregardingerbos, near the ring road in Kortrijk. There she was then allegedly abused several times by several of the boy’s friends.
The girl went to the police to report the facts. The court subsequently arrested a total of 10 minors. The contribution of various young people to the offenses is still being investigated. “The youngest is 11 years old, the oldest 16,” says Tom Janssens of the public prosecutor’s office.
“Precisely because the perpetrators are so young, we release little information. They have all been identified and arrested and measures have been taken by the juvenile judge. Some suspects have been placed in community institutions. Our attention is now first and foremost on the victim. They receives guidance to be able to post these events.”
