« I believe first of all in the existence of “cultural rights », affirmed the minister. In my opinion, culture must be a public service, particularly for the most deprived. I believe in the power of creation which can transform individuals, recreate links in our society. Defending our cultural sovereignty also means defending our language, defending our intellectual property model ».
« My commitment to you, I want to give it two main directionsalso underlined Rachida Dati. Above all, work to consolidate our cultural model, and support our cultural actors, in the context of profound changes. Then, place culture at the heart of our social project. So that culture is an experience offered to all, and in all territories. So that no one can say to themselves: “it’s not for me”.
