Putin and Erdogan meet in Kazakhstan ahead of SCO summit

Both leaders highlighted the growth of relations between both nations

International.– The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, met with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Kazakhstan on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) taking place on July 3 and 4 in Astana, the capital of the Caucasus nation.

During their meeting, Both leaders highlighted the good moment that Russian-Turkish relations are experiencing.just as these have been strengthened in recent years and “They develop steadily, despite all the difficulties present in the world today”.

Among the points to be discussed during this meeting is: the completion of the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power planta project 100% funded by the Russian side that will serve to “the joint development of both nations in the field of atomic energy“.

The last time the two leaders met was last year in the Russian city of Sochi.where they discussed topics such as the situation in Syria, the war in Ukraine and the grain trade agreement, and it is expected that during this conversation preparations will begin for another meeting in Ankara with Putin’s visit to the Turkish capital.
