Doha: A retail chain in Qatar has boycotted Swedish products in the wake of the Koran-burning controversy in Sweden. Souq Al Baladi supermarket has announced that it will not sell Swedish products.

Footage of Swedish products being moved from various branches of the establishment is circulating on social media. In a statement released by the supermarket authorities, the boycott of Swedish products will continue until further notice.

There is a strong protest in the Arab world once morest the desecration of the Qur’an that happened in Sweden and Denmark in the past few days.
