Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has clarified the criteria for bringing families on residence and visitor visas.
Male children should not be above 25 years of age when applying for Family Residency Visa under own sponsorship. Daughters must be unmarried. Children between the ages of six and 18 must be certified as being educated in Qatar or abroad.
Health insurance should also be ensured for the family. Government and semi-government employees should have a salary of at least 10,000 Riyals. Technical and specialized category professionals can apply for family visa if they are working in the private sector.
Must be salaried at least 10,000 Riyals. Otherwise, those with a salary of 6000 Riyals and family accommodation under the company can also apply. This should be specified in the employment contract.
For Family Visitor Visa, monthly salary of at least 5000 Riyals is required. Family accommodation should also be ensured. Visitors must be closely related to the sponsoring person. There is no age requirement for visitors visa holders. Meanwhile, health insurance is mandatory for everyone until they stay in Qatar.
