A source of a dangerous virus was discovered in an urban village in the Urmara region. A quarantine was introduced there. This was reported in the press service State Veterinary Service of Chuvashia.
The head of Chuvashia established a quarantine on the territory of the urban-type settlement of Urmary, Urmara district. The virus of a dangerous disease was found in the corpse of a fox. Veterinary specialists discovered rabies during laboratory tests.
“Currently, in areas unaffected by rabies, specialists are carrying out a set of measures to prevent the spread of infection.”
Previously, rabies was discovered in one of the farmsteads in the Kanashsky district in cattle. Activities are continuing to eliminate the outbreak of infection in a separate area in the Morgaushsky district.
