Radars: The New Kings of Speed in Belgium – Gazet Van Antwerpen Report

2024-01-02 10:17:00

This is what the newspaper Gazet Van Antwerpen reports, which describes radars as the new kings of speed in Belgium.

After all, the Berchem radar does better than the 2022 record holder, the Antwerp Craeybeckxtunnel pole. The latter gave rise to around 60,000 fines every six months.

The poles on the Antwerp ring road, one on each side of the road, catch a speeding driver every four minutes on average. The particularity of these radars is that they are aligned with dynamic traffic signs. If the authorized speed is reduced, the radars check this speed reduction.
