For this new year, this wave of Médiamétrie radio audiences brings some surprises. The hierarchy does not fundamentally change, but trends are confirmed in the November-December audiences, revealed this Thursday by Médiamétrie: France Inter is well in the lead, Europe 1 is recovering and RTL is falling back.

Thus, France Inter still appears as the undisputed leader with 12.5% cumulative audience – which measures the number of listeners on a station -, up 0.1 point over one year and 13.7% in audience share – which represents the listening volume compared to the overall listening volume of the radio medium -, however down 0.3 points. “All sections are doing well. Mornings, especially 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., pull things together. We gained 188,000 listeners on this one,” says Laurence Bloch, director of broadcasts and editorial strategy at Radio France.
