2023-09-30 10:43:04

Mainline and regional rail traffic is interrupted throughout this weekend as well as the weekend of October 7 and 8 at Bienne station. This measure is necessary to renew the contact lines.

Access to the platforms was closed by fences and customer assistants directed travelers, Keystone-ATS noted. Although rail traffic is at a standstill, shops and lighting in the station remain functional.

In collaboration with the City of Bienne, the SBB has set up a replacement offer of around 50 coaches, some of which are registered in the cantons of Lucerne or Zurich. The return to normal is scheduled for the start of service Monday at 4:10 a.m.
