According to information from The last newsrail traffic is currently interrupted between Ghent and Brussels, on the direct line L50A, due to a passenger collision near Erondegem (Erpe-Mere).
The person was caught around 7:45 p.m. The train driver braked urgently and stopped a few hundred meters away. Around 500 commuters were stranded on this train and the collision halted train movement in both directions.
Buses were requisitioned by Sncb to evacuate train passengers.
