Rain makes 10 families homeless in Xandel – Jornal OPaís

Ten families made up of 48 people were left homeless, on Tuesday (12), in the Kimbamba neighborhood, commune of Xandel, municipality of Quela, as a result of the heavy rains that fell over the region.

According to a note from the Civil Protection and Fire Service to which ANGOP had access, yesterday, Wednesday, households, whose homes were damaged, are calling for support, with a view to rebuilding their respective homes.

It should be noted that in recent times the province of Malanje has been experiencing constant rain, causing various damages, especially material and infrastructure.

From November 2023 to the present date, statistical data show the destruction of more than 3 thousand houses, churches and other infrastructure, in addition to 10 deaths and more than 5 thousand people left in the open.
