2.4 million people suffer from psoriasis in France, according to figures from the French Society of Dermatology in 2017. The disease was recognized by the WHO in 2014 as “ chronic, non-contagious, painful, and disabling, for which there is no cure”.

“It can appear on the skin (cutaneous psoriasis) or joints (psoriatic arthritis)”, explains Bénédicte Charles, president of France Psoriasis. The association, which is celebrating its 40 years of action, has the mission of “ support and inform patients »but also to raise awareness among the general public and health professionals in order to improve the support and care of patients.
