Marie-Anne Schwailbold is a “triplet”. Beneath this pretty nickname hides a less joyful reality. Since May 2021, she has suffered from aggressive breast cancer, called “triple negative”.
“It is a cancer that is very little known, even among health professionals. It does not respond to targeted therapies,” she says. Not very representative since it concerns 15% of breast cancers, it particularly affects young women, below the prevention radar.
Currently in remission following a year of heavy treatment, the 37-year-old from Luronne is also a Burgundy Franche-Comté ambassador within… an association which brings together patients affected by or cured of this particular cancer.
Created in 2020, the “Collectif Triplettes Roses” has around twenty women across France. Together, they work to raise awareness of the disease and for better treatment…
