Manama: Friends Study Circle Women’s Section Manama Unit organized a public lecture. Young scholar Yunus Salim gave a speech on ‘Light is the Messenger’.
He said that God has appointed prophets to lead from darkness to light. Injustice, violence and superstition in the contemporary world are often blamed on religion. He added that we should go back to the lessons taught by the Prophet to change these misconceptions.
Rasheeda Zubair, executive member of Friends Women’s Section, delivered the introductory speech. Unit President Bushra Hameed welcomed and Secretary Razina Akbar gave vote of thanks. Farzana Zubair recited from the Quran. Fatima Naufal sang the song. Shamina Latif, Shahina Naumal and Shamina Naufal presided over the program.
