On February 7, 2023, Rare Marine Animal Group staff Marine and Coastal Resources Research Center, Lower Gulf of Thailand (SVAT) was informed by Mr. Prasert Nuiad, a villager in the area. found a sea turtle alive Beach area in Pak Trae Subdistrict, Ranot District, Songkhla Province

staff and veterinarians inspected Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas), sex unknown, carapace length 59 cm., width 54 cm., weight 20.5 kg.

It is very weak and dehydrated. External parasites were found on both sides of the front oars. No wounds were found. Therefore, they were transported to the SWAT for thorough diagnosis, treatment and recuperation. before releasing it back to nature
