Souvenirs of Hollywood icons such as Audrey Hepburn, Greta Garbo and Barbra Streisand are to be auctioned in the USA in mid-December. The four-day “Hollywood Legends” auction ends on December 17th with the “Glamour, Grace and Greatness” auction, as the Julien’s auction house announced on Saturday (local time) in Beverly Hills, California.

The highlights also include items of clothing worn by Princess Diana (1961-1997). A pale pink chiffon blouse by designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel that Diana wore in a 1981 engagement photo might fetch $100,000, according to estimates. A blue and black star-embellished dress by fashion designer Jacques Azagury is estimated to be worth up to $200,000.

Among the more than 1,000 pieces is a golden yellow wool coat by designer Hubert Givenchy that actress Audrey Hepburn wore in the thriller comedy “Charade” (1963) – estimated at up to $40,000. Also up for auction are a turquoise blue silk dress by Greta Garbo, a film costume by Barbara Streisand and souvenirs from stars such as Marilyn Monroe, Katharine Hepburn, James Dean and Orson Welles.
