Rashford leads United to come from behind to beat City in an exciting derby

Manchester (England) – The brilliant Marcus Rashford scored a goal near the end to turn Manchester United from behind to a 2-1 victory over rivals Manchester City, and narrowed the difference with him to one point in the Premier League standings today, Saturday.

The hosts had their best chances in a thrilling first half at Old Trafford, with England striker Rashford watching his effort be sent off the line by defender Manuel Akanji, while City struggled to get into the game.

City improved a lot following the break, and the pressure paid off when substitute Jack Grealish gave them the lead with a header in the 61st minute, following a wonderful cross from Kevin De Bruyne.

And with United’s decline, the comeback came from nothing.

The equalizer came in the 78th minute in a controversial manner, as Fred passed the ball into the heart of City’s defense and Rashford was in an offside position, but it reached Bruno Fernandez, who fired it directly into the goal, and the assistant referee canceled the goal, but the video referee confirmed its validity.

Rashford scored the net for the seventh consecutive match in all competitions to snatch the victory for United, who strengthened its record to nine consecutive victories in all competitions, and narrowed the difference with City, second in the ranking.
