The victim was found on February 23 in Ravels (Antwerp) by workers. He was missing a finger and had other injuries that appeared to have been stabbed. The Dutchman was allegedly kidnapped and tortured, potentially in connection with a drug-related case.
The investigation quickly led to the arrest of three people, Dutch people aged 20 to 23. Last week, a fourth suspect was found. The man, of Rwandan nationality, resided in Hungary. The Hungarian police forces arrested him on Friday, in the apartment which he used as a hiding place. The Hungarian justice will have to decide on its possible handing over to Belgium.
